Síntesis del Episodio

Lech Lecha, which means "to go out". HaShem said to Avraham. This is when HaShem appoints Avraham as His messenger. He asks him to leave where he lives and spread spirituality in the world. "go out" doesn't necessarily mean moving to a different place. It's more about changing how you act. This week, we're encouraged to step outside of our usual way of thinking. It's not easy to step out of our comfort zone. We all have goals in life, and each of us has a to-do list, plans, etc. Sometimes it can feel like pressure, worry, stress, or conflict. For some of us, it might be paying bills; for others, it could be dealing with an addiction or illness. Whatever the specifics, we all face daily challenges. It can be tough to give of ourselves to others when we're so busy dealing with our issues. One of the great things about spirituality is the chance to help others with their problems, even when we're struggling. That's the spiritual level that Avraham reached, as we read in this week's portion, Lech Lecha. Despite facing many challenges, Avraham remained committed to sharing his love for HaShem with others.

This week, there's an open window in the universe that can help us get out of our framework. See beyond our conflicts, and understand that we are not the center of the universe, but just one small part of it. If we unite and understand each other by loving our neighbor, we can move forward with strength toward the final goal. Even when we're struggling with our problems, this exercise can help us see the light at the end of the tunnel. There's a cosmic law that says if we take care of others, the universe will take care of us. Change takes practice. Focus on the small but meaningful ways to adjust your daily behavior or decisions to inch closer to the new person you've committed to becoming.
