Ochate: The Cursed Village of Treviño Ochate is an uninhabited town located in the County of Treviño, surrounded by the lands of Álava. Since the 1980s, it has gained fame for alleged paranormal phenomena: Mysterious Epidemics: Between 1860 and 1870, the town suffered three epidemics (smallpox, typhus, and cholera) that did not affect neighboring towns, fueling its dark legend. Unexplained Phenomena: Sightings of strange lights, psychophonies with children's voices shouting "kanpora" (get out, in Basque), and whispers in the darkness have been reported.
