Síntesis del Episodio
VALLETTA unleashes pure fury on their second EP, "Bitter Lucid Truth", out this October via Germany’s LIFEFORCE RECORDS. Fueled by raw anger toward today’s political climate, the Raleigh, NC quartet transforms venom into powerful, melodic outbursts that are both soaring and scathing.
Written and recorded in early 2025, the "Bitter Lucid Truth" EP was tracked by Al Jacob (He Is Legend, Wailin Storms) at Warrior Sound with input from Inter Arma’s TJ Childers, and mastered by Matt Tuttle (Codeseven). It’s a lean, explosive statement and a bold step forward from a lineup whose pedigree includes Lord Almighty, Mo’ynoq, Prayer For Cleansing and Between the Buried And Me.
VALLETTA hits the road in the U.S. this August and October 2025, with a European tour and re-release of "Summer" slated for 2026.
Creator-Destructor Records is proud to welcome Southern California’s AUDITORY ANGUISH to the label for the November release of their new EP, AFA.
Having brought their crushing blend of death metal-infused metalcore to cities across the West Coast over the past few years, AUDITORY ANGUISH self-released their Tragedies Of Western Existence three-song promo in 2023, followed by the Crime Rituals EP in 2024. Now aligned with Creator-Destructor Records, the band arrives with their new EP, AFA, delivering their most critical material to date. Here, the band’s vast array of influences is infused into a crushing alloy of hardcore/death metal, with everything from Xibalba, Deftones, Trash Talk, and Cannibal Corpse converging to create the DNA of the band’s sound with unrelenting heaviness.
AFA was recorded and mixed at The Pit Recording Studio in Van Nuys, California by Taylor Young (Disgrace, Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate) who also provides additional vocals to “Unrelenting Blade,” while the track “Tierra Santa” features guests from Xibalba offshoot Tzompantli. Mastering was handled by Nick Townsend at Townsend Mastering, and the artwork duties were completed by Rodridgo Morales.
Arriving in 2016 from coordinates unknown, WARP CHAMBER spent the first two years of their existence festering and rotting in derelict basements and dilapidated garages across Olympia, Washington. Drawing influence from bands like Morbid Angel, Demilich, and Timeghoul, and the science fiction and horror films, video games, and books they grew up on, WARP CHAMBER sought to bring their own brand of twisted, psychotic death metal to the terminally infected West Coast scene. 2018 was a very active time for the band: they recorded the Abdication Of The Mind demo early that year with Ethan Camp, followed by a short West Coast tour that culminated in the recording of Implements Of Excruciation with Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California. Mounting challenges, from physical injury to neurosis, saw the collapse of the band upon the return home. Despite the successes of Implements Of Excruciation, by the time of its release in 2020, WARP CHAMBER existed only as a traumatic memory.
WARP CHAMBER reemerged in 2022, corporeal once more and hungry for flesh. This new era ushered in regional tours and shows in the US, Mexico, and Canada, with reported sightings at Maryland Deathfest, Infest Edmonton, and Covenant Festival.
“Warp III” is the first new WARP CHAMBER music since Implements…. Recorded and mixed by Ethan Camp and WARP CHAMBER, with mastering handled by none other than Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio, the release features a nearly six-minute track that reflects the maturation of WARP CHAMBER’s sound and a preview of new music to come.
BENOTHING is a death metal band from Finland that approaches the genre in an ambitious and subconscious way. Their old-school death metal foundation incorporates ideas closer to ‘70s progressive rock, without ever losing heaviness or grimness. BENOTHING is and will remain a death metal band, but boundaries will never stand in the way of creativity. They are progressive without being complicated, experimental without losing focus, and contemporary without being modern.
Formed around 2017 with the intention of playing raw and straightforward death metal in the vein of late ‘80s and early ‘90s US and Scandinavian classics, BENOTHING soon felt the inner need for experimentation and boundary-pushing. This eventually led to the release of their four-song, 28-minute EP Temporal Bliss Surrealms in 2021 through Everlasting Spew Records.
“Deathways” is the most annihilating BENOTHING song to date, but not without spiraling into psychedelic atmospheres. Recorded in 2023 at the band’s rehearsal studio, the song retains its live feeling even with multiple layers of instruments, ambience and noise. “Deathways” is a heavy, dark, and punishing trip into nothingness.
BENOTHING is about honesty. The band does not release anything that doesn’t satisfy their own ears. BENOTHING requires inspiration, experimentation, and dedication. After several years of grasping their voice, the band has begun writing new material to be released in the coming months. “Deathways” is an example of what this band is capable of — and a glimpse of what may be coming when the next step is taken.
