Great compilation from Tygers golden years.great package and excellent lp sleeve replica of any album.Very interesting for the fifth CD which includes all the bbc sessions, for the first time officially released!almost all singles A & B Sides are present,except for the 1979 "don't touch me there 7'' and relative b sides (but into the booklet this missing is quoted as "due to lincensing restrictions"),but i don't understand why from this box are left out these following songs:1) -Don't take nothing- from the MCA's PRECIOUS METAL compilation;2)-Bad Times AUDITION TAPE- from "Hellbound double 7'' single" (-don't take nothing AUDITION TAPE- instead could be found on cd2);
3)-Suzie smiled 7'' edited version-; 4)-the story so far 7'' edited version and 5)-love potion no. 9 A Side from the self titled 7'',which starts without the crossing fadeout from THE CAGE song (like in the album).could be considered as "missing tracks " another couple of songs:-slave to freedom live - and -raised on rock live-.both tracks, previously issued as b sides of the "don't stop by 12inch single",can be found on CD5 but with a slightly different mix so them are not properly the versions published in 1981.on cd1 -straight as a die- is a wrong version,taken from the "first kill LP",and is not the regular Bside version from "euthanasia 7inch single".so actually the bonus tracks here in the box don't give us a collection at 360 degrees:1997's rereleases of the albums (on edgy records) were more complete (except for the "edited versions" and other 2 or 3 songs which are still missing from this colletion).interesting the edited version of -making tracks 7''- and the same titled song remixed and extended from the old 12'' single:previosly issued as bonus on edgy's rerelease of "the cage" album (directly transferred from the single with a lot of clicks during the song) here is published mastered from the old original master tape.
anyway this compilation is an excellent overview of one of the must underrated bands from the first NWOBHM.
