Síntesis del Episodio
Dear community, in a new episode of "Transforming Grief,” I will talk about grief and fear, an important and relevant topic in the grieving process.
I will start by talking about the book by C.S. Lewis, "A Grief Observed” where he shares his experience of dealing with the death of his wife. In the book, Lewis says… “No one every told me that grief felt so like fear” and comments on how grief is a painful and difficult process, and how it resembles the feeling of fear.
Fear can also be real and can arise from many sources during the grieving process, such as fear of facing life without the deceased, fear of experiencing overwhelming emotions, fear of loneliness, fear of how to share the news of loss, among others.
I share with you what we can do to mitigate this emotion during the grieving process, and the importance of focusing on self-care, taking the time to do things that make us feel good, such as exercising, meditating, reading or spending time outdoors, that can help us reduce the stress and anxiety that often accompany fear.
Finally, I will talk about how we can keep moving forward in our lives despite the fear and pain of grief. Sometimes it may seem impossible to continue, but it's important to remember that life goes on and we can find ways to keep living and honoring the person we've lost.
Thanks for listening! If you feel this space is useful to you, please support me by sharing it with whoever that may feel inspired. If you listen to it on Spotify, it would be a great help if you give it a rating in the stars and comment right there in the app, that will help to reach more people.
