Story 1:
They couldn't believe it. And neither could I.
I always thought the day I came across the book that would put Marcus and me together was the luckiest day of my life. I got amazed when I opened it and saw how the author confessed his love for me.
Very excited, I told my friend Darsy about it and, like always, she helped me with my first date with Marcus.
Seven years later, in a stunning white dress surrounded by all the people I love, I needed Darsy's support more than ever but unexpectedly, she objected - "Sorry I haven't said this before. I wrote that book. I've been in love with you all this time."
What am I supposed to say now?
Story 2:
They couldn't believe it. They had won the basketball tournament. Mike hurried back home and he saw flames coming out of the kitchen window. He ran in and with shaking legs he could check no-one was home. In the living room he found a note which said "If you really love your family, go to house 41."
Out of breath, he approached the open door of the house 41. "Mum? Dad?" His voice trembled. At the end of the corridor the floor broke and he fell in a cellar. Upon rolling over, there was Mr. Smith, holding a bloody bat. "Feel the blood. It's still hot. I told you what would happen if you won". Mike felt a blood drop rolling down his face.
Story 3:
They couldn't believe it when I told them. This has been devastating for me. It was 8 months since people around her inexplicably started dying. The symptoms arose days before the first deaths. Her eyes turned red. It was clear. She had no doubt.
Niebla was the best friend I could ever have.
When her eyes turned red, she remembered her family legend about a curse that a ancestor announced. He sentenced one future descendant would be chosen to carry this curse.
We couldn't believe Niebla was the one.
It was said the only cure for the people infected is a transfusion of her blood which might weaken her to death. "Finish this mission for me, please" - she whispered before her last heartbeat.
Story 4:
They couldn't believe it. There was Jasmine, standing in front of her parents nervously aiming herself with a shotgun. They ran up to her in a desperate attempt to stop her when the deafening sound of the weapon paralyzed them. She was only a 14-year-old girl with a stormy life.
- "Cut, cut! Oh God! Call an ambulance!”
