Biografía

David Campos Torres más conocido como Pumuki, trasteaba con tan solo 10 años en su casa con dos pletinas de cassette, haciendo sus primeras mezclas.

Es amante de muchos estilos musicales, ya que desde pequeño gracias a su padre ha mamado una buena cultura musical con estilos como heavy metal, reggae, rock, italodisco y muchos más.

Allá por 1998 sus padres le regalaron sus primeros y únicos Technics, ahi fue cuando empezó a introducirse de lleno en el mundo de la electrónica.

Empezó mezclando hard techno, tirando por el estilo tribal con referentes como Cristian Varela, Ben Sims o Samuel L. Session.

Con 17 años debutó en Liquid Dance Club donde compartió cabina con Djs de la talla como Oscar Mulero, Mónica Osmos, Raúl Parra o Toni Verdi.

A partir de ahí empezó a pinchar en discotecas y clubs de Madrid y Toledo, entre ellas salas como Groove o Van Vas, esta última siendo elegido como finalista en el casting de Phrenetic Society.

Entre 1999 y 2004 organizó las míticas raves llamadas Dê-lüxe, siendo conocidas por toda la zona sur de Madrid y norte de Toledo por organizarse desde una vaquería abandonada a otras localizaciones secretas o incluso en un camión.

Por el 2005 empezó a experimentar con otros estilos como mínimal o electroclash, este último fue el que le marcó para el resto de su andadura musical.

A día de hoy sus sesiones no dejan de sorprender ya que la línea es indie, con vocales y melodías pero con el espíritu electroclash que le marcó en su día, sorprendiendo con alguna joya ochentera que deja perplejos a sus oyentes.

Ahora está iniciándose en el mundo de la producción musical, en el que está muy ilusionado con sus nuevos proyectos.

Biography

David Campos Torres, better known as Pumuki, fiddled with two cassette decks when he was only 10 years old, making his first mixes.

He is a lover of many musical styles, since since childhood thanks to his father he has nurtured a good musical culture with styles such as heavy metal, reggae, rock, Italian disco and many more.

Back in 1998 his parents gave him the first and only Technics of his, that's when he began to fully enter the world of electronics.

He started mixing hard techno, pulling for the tribal style with references like Cristian Varela, Ben Sims or Samuel L. Session.

At the age of 17 he made his debut at Liquid Dance Club where he shared a booth with DJs of the stature as Oscar Mulero, Mónica Osmos, Raúl Parra or Toni Verdi.

From there he began to play in discos and clubs in Madrid and Toledo, including venues like Groove or Van Vas, the latter being chosen as a finalist in the Phrenetic Society casting.

Between 1999 and 2004 he organized the mythical raves called Dê-lüxe, being known throughout the south of Madrid and north of Toledo for organizing from an abandoned dairy farm to other secret locations or even in a truck.

By 2005 he began to experiment with other styles such as minimal or electroclash, the latter was the one that marked him for the rest of his musical career.

To this day, his sessions do not cease to surprise since the line is indie, with vocals and melodies but with the electroclash spirit that marked him in his day, surprising with some eighties jewel that leaves his listeners perplexed.

Now he is starting in the world of music production, in which he is very excited about his new projects.
