Radio Primavera Sound attended Depeche Mode’s press conference on October 4th in Berlin, where Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed that they will be releasing a new album, ‘Memento Mori’, due out in Spring 2023. It will be their first new album after founding member Andy Fletcher’s death last May. Depeche Mode are also the first headliners of Primavera Sound 2023, with shows at both the Barcelona and Madrid editions of the festival, as part of a world tour starting in March 2023. After the press conference we had the chance to speak briefly with Martin Gore, Depeche Mode’s main songwriter for more than forty years.
