The MS-06R Zaku II High Mobility Type “Psycho Zaku” is an experimental unit created by the Principality of Zeon
during the One Year War. Based on the MS-06R-1 model, the Psycho Zaku utilizes an advanced control system
called the Reuse Psycho Device that sends electrical signals directly from the pilot’s brain to the mobile suit.
The Reuse P Device is developed by researchers Karla Mitchum and J.J. Sexton
by studying the amputees of the Living Dead Battalion aboard the supply ship Dried Fish.
Daryl Lorenz, who loses three limbs in prior battles, is made into a quadruple amputee
to become the perfect pilot for the Psycho Zaku. He is fitted with special prosthetics that
connect him directly into the system in the cockpit. The result: the ability to control
the Psycho Zaku as if he were moving his own body. The wide deployment of the Reuse P Device
has the potential to bring any average pilot up to ace level.
