Síntesis del Episodio

U.S. born children of undocumented parents who have been held in immigration detention centers suffer greatly because of the natural bonds that parents and children are supposed to develop. Dr. Luis Zayas speaks with on the negative consequences of parent separation due to detention or deportation. He also speaks to the negative experiences many of these children go through when their parents take them to the parent's home country where they are not always welcomed. Teachers, administrators and other professionals need to understand the level of trauma and learn to be allies for these children and their families.
