Her previous bestsellers, 'The Silent Takeover,' 'The Debt Threat' and 'Eyes Wide Open,' have been published in more than twenty countries, and her op-eds have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian and The Financial Times. Her latest book, 'The Lonely Century: Coming Together in a World that's Pulling Apart,' reflects on how loneliness has become the defining condition of the twenty-first century. Loneliness harms our health, our wealth and our happiness and even threatens our democracy. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD from Cambridge University; she is currently a professor at University College London, where she holds an honorary professorship.
